Sector 9 Jake's

Sector 9 Jake's complete

This board is made of 100% bamboo, comes with Gullwing sidewinder trucks (double pivot), Sector 9 greaseball bearings with 69mm (80a) nineball wheels. Jake's is perfect for cruising and carving. However this board is not meant for speed or hills because these trucks will get speed wobbles very easily. These trucks will bend all the way over. The double pivot trucks allow you to make a turn smoothly.

Sector 9's design incorporates the inspiration behind longboarding, the ocean. Sector 9's design team worked in clear grip tape to draw attention to the detail of the bamboo. One thing that is very noticeable is the length, being that it is shorter (31.75") than most it allows you to bring it into classes/stores/anywhere else. Overall this board is great for cruising, carving and getting from point A to point B. I'd recommend this board for a college student living on campus and to anyone looking for a sweet style and smooth riding.

what about skateboarding/longboarding?

1. Tell the people a little about your self. who is Anthony Venditti?
obviously I am Anthony Venditti, I usually do not associate my self with any forums or blogs etc.. but truth be told life can be quite the bitch sometimes and we all need somewhere to vent and a way or topic to do that and mine is skateboarding/longboarding... I love to go out a nice longboard that has nice smooth ride to it one that i can enjoy for a long time not a cheapy one to buy ten go out and sell it a month later i take pride when i go out on my board and that is just something else that comes along with the "stress free" feeling when i am on a longboard and it makes me feel so free and it is quite frankly one of the most soothing things to me it makes me feel like the most free person in the world!

2. What is your favorite discipline?
I would have to say probably just going down some hills because we all know everyone gets an adrenaline rush from picking up speed! That's how it all started for me I was hooked from then on....

3. How did you get into longboarding? Who/What got you into the idea?
I got the idea of longboarding when I was skating around town, i thought to my self "I wish the ride wasn't so bumpy as well being able to go faster without speed woobles at like 10 mph." from there I heard about longboarding and that it was a faster and smoother ride as well as more stable, just about everything I was thinking about that one day, so i went to zumiez in the mall to find out some more about them and then I went onto youtube and then I was hooked by some of the videos of things that I wish were me.....

4. How long have you been skating? What got you into the sport?
i have been "skating for about 6 years now but i just starting longboarding at the end of last year. i got into skateboarding because i would always admire and look up to the "pro" skaters and then i realized its not about being a "pro" its about going out and having fun at what your doing. and i enjoyed skateboarding when i was younger and now i am enjoying longboarding!

5. How many years have you been competing now? What is your top rank?
i have never competed in any events for skating, i do it for the fun and enjoyment of doing what i like and am able to do

6. Do you longboard alone or with friends?
currently I longboard alone however I would love to have some friends to go with me but I do not have any friends who longboard :[

Arbor Pintail GT!!!!

Arbor Pintail GT.

I have had it for a few months now and I really enjoy every time I take that first push on this board because it has such a smooth ride (with gullwing charger trucks and Bio-urethane black Arbor slalom style wheels)  to it but also has enough flex to have fun and do whatever you want on it.  I really love bombing hills with this board, mainly because I get so much speed on hills it is so much fun and makes you feel so free and every time I get a chance to go out and bomb so hills, hell yeah im taking the Arbor Pintail GT... when I get to go out on this board I get the feeling of what I truly love about being on a longboard and that is just that amazing "free" feeling it just takes me to my own place and it relieves me of any stress or anything bad on my mind and just makes me feel so great.  so in my own truthful opinion I LOVE the Arbor Pintail GT, its AMAZING for bombing hills and for even the every day free rider and college student, ideal for getting from point A to point B fast, safe, and free (after the cost of the board.) so if you are considering buying this board, definitely go out and grab one for your self and have fun! be safe and wear your helmets and pads
